Light Rider DJ light controller, about 5 years in the making after DMX product engineers noticed a need. There were so many DMX lights, desks and apps being demonstrated at various DJ and light show trade exhibitions and it was apparent when speaking with DJ’s that most would just use the in-built effects inside the lighting fixtures. Light Rider switches the programming approach away from “steps, scenes and sequences” onto immediacy. It “just does it” with total ease of use.

How does the LR512 work?
You can directly control the LR512 with the Light Rider app via WIFI and use an Apple iPad or Android tablet as the control surface with no additional requirements. LR512 DMX controller can also be used with a PC or MAC. It can control a wide variety of different DMX compatible light fixtures, smoke machines and moving heads.
Options on LR512:
The controller supports 512 channels as standard. 1024 channels (2 DMX universes) is a paid upgrade.

Can the LR512 control my DJ DMX Lights, led strips and, make me coffee?
Yes kind of. If you are new to DMX it’s worth understanding the LR512 is basically a ‘signal generator’ that outputs a ‘stream’ of DMX data. The LR512 then controls DMX compatible lights or DMX receiving devices. If your lights, led strips or oddball electrical devices (smoke machines, fans, moving dancefloors, motors, toasters or even coffee machines) do not have DMX built in then we can make them DMX compatible with some electronics.
